Talk – How to be a better listener (London)

February 7, 2019 @ 19:00 - 21:30

£12

Most of us want to be better understood – but do you really know how to listen? What techniques can you develop to ensure conflicts are avoided? Can you work on a strategy so both parties are being heard properly? Join intimacy consultant Roma Norriss & Wellness Coach Alice Irving for an intriguing look at how we can learn to communicate better with others.

Listening is one of the most powerful ways we have to connect with each other. If you’re over-stressed, finding intimate or professional relationships challenging, OR you just want to upgrade your people-whispering skills, this talk is for you.

When you really, properly, listen, it activates circuits in your nervous system which are designed to help you feel connected, welcome and safe. It reduces inflammation in your body. Increases your immunity. Even your chance of living to a ripe old age.

Whether you’re receiving OR giving the listening.

You’ll learn by doing in this experiential, information packed evening. You’ll discover simple, intuitive tools you can use straight away to connect in times of stress and think well in a crisis (yours or someone else’s!) You’ll feel more confident navigating life’s challenges, and feel more able to reach out for support when things feel hard.

Roma and Alice are ThinkWell. They get listening, connection, intimacy and community and what makes humans thrive from the inside out. Through transformational training for individuals, couples, parents and organisations based on the power of listening, Alice and Roma are known for their sparky, heartfelt and irreverent approach to bringing people together and lightening the load of being human.
